What communication do donors receive from AAR?

AAR will only send out an initial invitation to donors to join the scheme, other than that, no communication is ever sent out.  The charity is responsible for all aspects of marketing the scheme.

It is free to join the rewards scheme website?

It is completely free of charge for donors to use the scheme, just as long as they continue to contribute to the chosen charity.  People who cease to contribute, will have their access removed.

How have AAR obtained the discounts from retailers?

AAR work with a company called Blackhawk Network who run Voucher Store and it is they who have the relationships with retailers nationwide.  Voucher Store provide rewards scheme websites for thousands of companies across the UK.

What if donors don’t have a registered e-mail address?

Donors without a registered e-mail address can use a generic code in order to gain access and register to the website.

Does AAR share the personal details of donors with anybody?

AAR will never share the details of any donors and this information always remain the sole property of the charity.  AAR only uses the data provided to grant access to the rewards scheme website and process the transactions made by donors.

How do donors receive discounts?

AAR provides a bespoke website via our partners at Voucher Store, which when accessed provides discounts at over 80 retailers nationwide.  Donors will purchase eGifts (evouchers) at discounted rates that they can then redeem either online or instore.

Do the discounted eGifts work on already discounted items?

Yes, you should treat eGfits like a cash purchase. Once you’ve purchased any item, you pay for it using your eGiftlike you would do cash.  The only difference being that your eGift is also discounted as a result of donating to the chosen charity, effectively meaning you receive a further saving.

Can the charity have a say in the design of the website?

Yes, whilst the layout has a standard template, the charity can amend certain aspects of it as they see fit.

How do you decide who gets access to the rewards scheme website?

AAR suggests that all lottery players and regular givers are given access to the site.  These donors are registered and you can track whether their donations continue.

How does AAR receive the details of donors?

AAR and Voucher Store will provide a SFTP for the charity to send across a spreadsheet of all those people they wish to invite to join the scheme.  This will trigger an invitation being sent to the donors via e-mail (content approved by the charity in advance).  New donors signed up weekly can be invited via the same method.
